USMLE Step 1 Registration Process
- Registration on ECFMG: Create an account and register on the ECFMG portal. You will receive your ID and password in about two weeks.
- Fill Application Form: Download the USMLE application form on the ECFMG site, complete with the required fee and select any three-month eligibility period to schedule your USMLE Step 1 exam.
- Submit Form 183: Obtain your college dean's signature on Form 183, which should be the same as that on file with ECFMG and send the forms via mail to the ECFMG.
- Scheduling Permit: Within 2-3 weeks, you will receive an email with your scheduling permit, which is needed to make your exam appointment and to bring to the exam on test day.
